Memorial Show Report, by Halo.
How can I point out highlights of this show when all I can think about is Daniel.
So this “report” is going to be about him.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said?
What can I do that hasn’t already been done?
When you miss someone so much that you can’t sleep,
When every time your eyes are closed, you can’t shut out visions of him?
You try to remember the sound of his voice,
remember how good you felt when he laughed.
When you cry at the drop of a hat,
and you can’t let yourself believe that he’s passed?
All of your memories involving him seem more precious now.
The jokes he said and the tasteless (and hilarious) pranks he played.
In fact, the whole thing seemed like a bad prank he was pulling on all of us,
Until we went to the funeral and realized it was all too real.
We all try to pretend that we’re ok,
It’s a lie, we’re not.
Trying to be strong for everyone else who’s having a harder time of it.
We are all depressed, but he wouldn’t want that at all.
So we all pulled ourselves together and went on with the show,
Not just because we are a damn good cast,
But also because that’s what he would’ve wanted.
He would want us to make shitty jokes at his expense,
if we laugh and say “that’s wrong” at the same time,
then we are doing it right, just the way Daniel would have.
He loved hair metal, Disarrano, tiny woman, video games, RPGs, The Simpsons, talking for hours and astronomy. Daniel loved sweets, which is kind of like an asthmatic who plays sports. He was a stand-up kinda guy who would tell you the brutal truth, even if it hurt, but it was always necessary. He is the kind of guy that if he was your friend, he would give you the shirt off his back, even if it meant that he would be cold and out a bit of cash. All in all Daniel just liked being Daniel. Even though he rebelled against being on stage he still played many parts.
Daniel was an awesome Riff but he also played Rocky, Brad, Transie, Janet, Scott and magenta. His pre-show virgins games were always a laugh. He was our top sound guy and he will be sorely missed from the depths of our hearts.
I’ll wrap this up with a quick set of rhyming lines.

Amaretto drips from wings of a dove,
he is laughing at all of us from above.
