All I have to say about this weeks show is YAY! Nerds!! So yes, this week was our Video Game Show and WOW are we nerds. I mean TRULY. One of our most used props was a giant cardboard, AWESOME, replica of a Galaga arcade game that Donna spent hours on to make it accurate. I mean SERIOUSLY. Go look at pictures if you doubt me. And the costumes! Oh the costumes! You could tell the gamers on cast. Beau and Saturn were Mario and Luigi most of the night. Saturn became Link for Lab scenes and Ness (from Earthbound…and where he gets his nickname, cause of the little white critters that are called Mr. Saturns…I’m rambling now) any ways. He was Ness for floorshow.

OH! And Preshow right (don’t expect this show report to follow any form of show order…I’m to spazzy right now) so preshow was fun. They played a techno Tetris theme…the Tetris theme is from a song called the Karabushka…it’s a folk song Russian/Romani thing. Right> Okay so. Us Rennies were amused and were doing a dance that goes with it…to the techno thing…and yea. We wore ourselves out before the show even started. After that they played a mashup song that included bits from Mario soundtracks and Nine Inch Nails’ song Closer. It’s a hot song. I loves it good. And the girls danced all sexily like. So then Bunch told Starman he was going to beat Final Fantasy VII again, and Halo (dressed as Sephiroth) and Cody (dressed Cloud) had a slo-mo battle with the Advent Children version of One Winged Angel (happy nerd sigh by the way. If you find yourself reading this and thinking “WTF MAN?! WTF?!?” then this is not the show report for you. Just sayin’ y0.) Sephiroth won. Uh-ohs.

So we did rules and virgin games. Leah wore the Rocky Quistis outfit I made her for A-Kon last year. It was well received again. :-D I heart it. If you hadn’t seen it yet, all you happy gamer geeks should go get a load of(f) at the pictures. I loved Mary’s game for this show. It was a human Katamari Damacy. I hate the video game itself, but this was ingenious. She stuck double sided tape to them, game people glow sticks, and sent them out. Whoever came back with the most glow sticks won. It was made of win. So let’s see…Amy was American McGee’s Alice for first part of the show. Except it was a shorter Janety dress because yea, she was playing Janet. Go Figure. :-D She was being creepy. Amy’s good at that. Yupyup! Her Brad was Fishy. He borrowed a costume from Donna’s daughter who is uber-nerd like us. She’s awesome. She’s also a bit of an elitist, so the outfit was random Tomato Farmer from Suikoden. After her fight to the death with Cody, Halo changed into her outfit for the rest of the night. She was Columbia as Princess Peach. Awwwwww. Uhm…Wes was from God of War. I’ve never played the game, so I’m not sure of characters name. I wanna say Kratos? Maybe? Is that even the right game? But yes. He was Rocky. He didn’t LOOK like a God of War…*snerk* He pained on a six pack. Awwww. I love Wes. He takes a lot of shit from us. He’s good people. Yup yup! JJ was random military/duck hunter. She was being all bad assy. Woot!! I was Roxas. He’s from Kingdom Hearts 2 and has issues. BTW. If I ever decide that rocking on the balls of my feet for two hours sounds like a good idea ever again, someone shoot me. Yesh.

KC and someone else (whom I can’t remember because I think it was a new person…Meighan or Teresa I think. WHICH IS WHICH?) Anyways…those two were dressed up as ghosts from Pacman. One was red (or was it yellow?) and the other was blue. Definently blue. I remember that part, cause that’s what colour they turn when Pac-Man eats them. OH! And Kirk. Kirk was Tetris. We also had Tomb Raider, another random soldier, I don’t know what the hell Pete was but he was tie-dyed glorious with a semi-automatic nerf gun thing…oh and whores. We had a couple of those. OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! Nugget was a Black Mage. OR Vivi. Whichever you’re inclined to call him. So there was a lot of Chaos. Mario kills Cloud. Final Fantasy Fanfare. Uhm…we repainted the mushroom from the Alice show to look like a 1-UP Mushroom. Squee! But yea, all in all this was a VERY nerdy show. I mean uber. You should all go look at the pictures because really…they speak for themselves! OH!~ And Mike! Mike was Oregan Trail. He died of Dysentary.
