Show report for Saturday March 28th

star? star!

Report by that sean guy

good show last week.
i don't remember much of it.
i wrote a decent report two days ago, but through some kind of computer error (i hate computers) it was not received.
so i'll just try to write it once more.
can you dig it?

the "holy god, there's three black people on stage!" show
that's right, little deviants, this last week we had star back with us to perform as frank, which she hasn't done in more than a year.
(or more, i have a horrid memory.)
if you don't know who star is, well, she was a not quite so old school cast member, she had performed with us as dr. frank-n-furter, rocky, and, my favorite role to see her in, columbia.
recently though, she's been overseas having an "actual life".
weirdo.
ANYWAY, she came back to texas recently and has been doin stuff.
frank: star
janet: emily
brad: wes (which was awesome, by the way, check the videos when they go up)
riff: kirk(whom i love to see as riff raff)
magenta: jj
columbia: amy
dr scott: marc
eddie: mary
crimmie: eris
transies: ashley, britt, chritie, cory, fish, justin, kc, megaaaan, nickola, pete, jon, and gus. the last two are new, and one is my brother. check that out, huh?

show starts as normal EXCEPT: mary has been pulling together the song 'la vie boehme' from rent for the last couple of weeks, and we finally premiered it on saturday as part of our on-going charity drive for the AIDs outreach center. with your help, we've managed to raise over five hundred dollars. keep it up!

'la vie boehme' was pretty rad. then the show started, which is always a disappointment, but not this time. plenty of antics and shenanigans.
you know, i don't actually remember much of the show, except for frank and brad's bedroom scene, which, keep and eye out for the video on youtube. you see, there's a bit of a history between star and wes.
after that, the show went pretty smoothly, right up to fay wray, following the individual floor shows.
bit of backstory: about two and a half years ago, someone correct me if i have my time wrong, leah and some other notable members of the cast went to a rocky horror convention in las vegas, leaving the show in the hands of donna, whom no fault for the following incident lies.
star was playing frank that night, and preston, beau, and daniel got together and hatched a plot: for the scene after 'i'm going home' you know, where riff walks down the aisle with the laser, these three decided to march down the aisle after star with kkk masks and a noose.
star is black.
fast forward to 2009. star is frank and performing fay wray, when beau comes to the front and starts to measure star against pieces of wood and rope and a white sheet.
by the way, the incident previously discussed got the three boys suspended for a time and earned them the undying hate of star.
anyway, after measuring star, and she's starting to look a little worried, beau takes his material backstage where we hear the sounds of saws and hammers right up to half way through kickline.
when he comes out with a home made boat screaming "what did you sick fucks think i was going to build?!"
it was wonderful
we were very grateful to have star back with us.
by this time, the photos should be up, and the videos will be up later, so be sure to check them out.
aids zombie walk is this sunday, info on the front page.
easter show in two weeks.
love,
sean
