Denton Halloween Show!

Report by London

Rocky Horror Halloween Show, Denton Style!

I would like to start off by saying the life size Gumby that attended the show terrified me, but good job on the costume. <3
Anyway, The night began with an amazing costume contest, headed out by Jason and ended with some audience people with extra toys and gift cards in their pockets. I personally enjoyed the guy dressed as Eddie, who came with a Magenta, even though she refused to show herself to the cast. Then the Virgin games. The game tonight was Gay Chicken, a rather wonderful game Lyndi has been creating so that, in Lady and the Tramp style, two people of the same sex have to eat a twizzler. The woman went all the way, and ate the extra candy... they were also drunk. The men however, went close but couldn't quite get a handle on the near kiss part. eh, it was hot anyway.

Wes was Dr. Franknfurter, a very energetic Franknfurter as a surprise. His mannerisms were great, and with Sean as Rocky, their Make A Man Scene was great. There was SO MUCH GLITTER!!! Oh my Buddha there was a veil of glitter over Frank and Rocky, all the Transies were so in trance by it. Rexy even rolled around on the floor to get MORE glitter! This just goes to show we really are distracted by shiny things....
Rachel was Janet this evening, but may I point out her pre-show performance... Adrienne along with her had the eyes of almost all as they danced so very promiscuous. The Back row (Almost all 16-17 year old boys) Could not blink, they were so enthralled. Anyway, cute and hilarious, and slutty like a good Janet, Rachel did a great job of portraying a rather screen accurate de-virganized slut. <3
Megaaan was Brad, yet with one major change in the real Brad Majors.... Megaaan sported a rather large and hideously long (fake) penis that she just whipped around a bit the entire show. It made the curtain scene rather comical, and slightly erotic.
Riff-Raff was played by NUGGETT! I was exclaiming this on the inside, I promise. He is just so creepy, like the next door neighbor that is always in a bath robe and tube socks... when he plays Riff that is. Other wise he is just a rather interesting person. But damn, when he gets in Riff character, he seems like the guy to say "Come inside" then drug your tea, and take out your kidney. Okay, sorry too much reading for me, but you get my point. CREEPY RIFF as made possible by Nuggett.
Bizah... not gonna lie, hot as Magenta. Boobs all nice and almost out of the costume, and well... The dress is short : ) I will be good, and just say She always kicks butt as Magenta and I was glad she was Magenta to Nuggett Riff.
Adrienne as Columbia, her bubble attitude along with her bouncy.. spirit always makes her Columbia pretty fun to watch. Her fall to the ground during Time Warp was rather graceful and cute. Her floor show was rather entertaining.
Dr Scott was played by the ever odd Gus. I was honestly too busy toilet papering people's faces and tying shoe laces together to notice Dr. Scott much. I know he pointed correctly and was able to keep it up. heh. and his 'Eddie' song went well. Beyond that, sorry Gus... I promise to pay attention more next time... maybe. : P
Sean as Rocky, WOW the audience LOVED Sean. Whether its the facial piercings, the bad ass attitude or just his body, I don't know, but people were going crazy over him when he first emerged as Rocky, and his rather comical 'weak Rocky' and make a man scene. Great Job Sean. Yes, everyone stroke his ego a bit more. : P just kidding.
Cody as Eddie.. hehehe well the glasses and helmet were reversed but beyond that I thought he did a rather good job. He did a pretty good lift for Adrienne. Then he returned to his obnoxious, over sexed Floor Walking self, and made one dude's night by saying 'Hi' to him.
Crimie as played by the leaving-us-this-weekend-after-5-years-and-two-months- Mike. He was spot on and had a good enough voice to carry to most the audience. AND he stayed in character even when the spotlight was not on him... cough.. Chance/FishNChips. He did a great job as the criminologist and he knew what he was doing.
The floorwalkers, while very touchy-feely this weekend, were very well placed in the large Denton theatre and did a great Job getting all the jokes and shouts to the whole audience. I spent the majority of the time in the back section and their voices bounce from the walls and the whole back row were laughing like school girls at their blunt and rude manner in jokes. That was awesome.
Pics were taken by the beautifully dressed Eris, with the corset I want to steal. haha, and Spots were Chance and FishNChips. They did good I think. For newbies they have their scripts down well, though both were kind nervous, which was cute, cause no one really cared. :)
The transies were all loud and obnoxious, at least from where I stood (in the middle of them) and were all very energetic. It was great seeing all the toilet paper hats and crowns in the crowd.
Last but certainly not least, the Audience was amazing. Ranging from 12 years old to 78-ish, the audience was all very enthusiastic. Also, most of the audience was dressed up as this or that, and we even had some pretty epic birthday peeps. Love to all. Especially the Back Row ;)
