I’m going to keep this short and sweet because it is Mother’s Day morning as I write this, I still have to call my mom and I’d like to call her before I pass out as I fell asleep sometime around 4 am last night and then woke up around 8 am for reasons beyond my understanding. Unless it turns out my body hates me, in which case I understand completely.

Anyway, there’s not much to say about last night’s show. It was awesome as usual. But I would like to highlight one fact – when someone gets sick on this cast, it is easy as all get out for us to get a replacement at the last minute. You see, I was supposed to be playing Crimmie last night. But because Shannon (who was set to play Riff) got sick and because it wasn’t TOO big of a pain in the ass for me to go home before going to the theater (I was hanging out at a friend’s place before the show) and get my Riff shit together, I graciously agreed to step in. And even though he was supposed to have the night off, Charles graciously agreed to come in and play Crimmie.

And Daniel was there doing sound even though he had the night off because… well, honestly I think he realized how dull his Saturdays are without Rocky. Either that or they canceled the drunken physicist party he was going to.

You laugh. But there are drunken physicist parties. Douglas Adams said so!

Anyway, I would just like to commend the cast in general for their professionalism under fire and their ability to snap to when the chips are down.

Anyway… random other thoughts about the show and cool things you missed along with a two things I just made up to test your ability to sense bullshit.

• A triple-flash as Halo, Emily and (eventually) Madame Leah went six-abreast before the audience, if you know what I mean and I think you do.
• Preston doing an interpretive dance to “Flight of the Bumblebee”
• A super-fast floorshow that was barely half an hour including the music.
• Wes doing Virgin Games, including a new one involving boys and condoms that inspired Cupcake to call dibs.
• One of the new Transie girls, whose name escapes me, got completely naked during the creation scene.
• A drunken, shirtless Bobcat eating Wendy’s take-out during the dinner scene while Leah called him “daddy” for reasons I’d rather not contemplate until after a few hours of serious drinking.
• Emily dressed in a gothic Playboy bunny style outfit

There was a bit more, but my computer crashed and this is all that was saved after a call to Dell Tech Support. So I will conclude this by saying two things.

1. A-KON approaches. The convention of which we are performing, not the guy touring with Gwen Stefani. Get your tickets now. Actually, I'm told you don't need tickets to see us... but you should get tickets anyway. It's a cool Con.

2. We Bastards still need your loving! Attendence has been down a bit the last few weeks and I know that finals and graduation is over for most of you freaks now. So get your asses back here now that it's hot enough for you to wear that outfit and not freeze to death. You know the one I'm talking about.
